Fees
My fee is $135/hour and I collect payment at the time of service. If you're facing budgetary restrictions, I offer a sliding fee scale that ranges from $125-$85 per session, depending on what your budget will allow for weekly appointments.
You might notice that my fee is lower than what might otherwise be expected from a clinician with my years of training and experience. This is because I have chosen to not work directly with insurance.
I have found that insurance companies can be quite intrusive, regularly asking for proof that therapy is "medically necessary." Further, insurance providers tend to demand access to patients' treatment plans, which I believe can be a violation of client privacy. Additionally, there are frequent, arbitrary changes to insurance policies, coverage and procedures, which can be quite disruptive to the therapeutic process.
Insurance
Even though I am considered an out-of-network provider, depending on the specifics of your plan and the scope of your deductible, you should receive some amount of reimbursement for the costs accrued in our work together. Every 2 months I print out financial statements for you to submit to your insurance company.
